| After Dark X makes full use of the power of Open GL to provide fascinating screensaver displays on your screen. Most of the modules use Open GL's 3D environment to give a variety of angles and views for each graphic display. |
| Downloading After Dark X + Fish |

| Click on the "After Dark X + Fish" link in the "Downloading" section below to download your software. |
|
| The downloaded screen savers will work in "Preview" mode only until you purchase and enter a serial number. |
| Uncompressing and Installation |
|
- The file you download is compressed in "GZip" format and in most cases will be automatically uncompressed to a disk image file (ending in .dmg) which will be displayed on your desktop.
If the disk image file is not displayed and only a file ending in ".gz" is displayed on your desktop, double-click this file to uncompress it.
- Double-click on the disk image file to mount the disk image on your desktop. (On some systems this may happen automatically).
Double click on the disk image icon that appears on your desktop. A window showing the contents of the disk image will be displayed.
- Open the file "Installation Instructions" for instructions on installing the downloaded files.

| When you install After Dark X it will initially work in demonstration mode only. To convert to a full version you must the use the serial number that you received in the mail confirming your purchase. |

| Errors due to line overload |
|
| If when you open your downloaded disk image (.smi or .dmg) or self-expanding file (.sea or .exe) you get an error message, this usually means that the data has not been completely downloaded. The most likely cause is a problem with the connection to the server during download. Try downloading one more time. |
|
| FTP Server Overload |
|
| If you get an error message when trying to download, or get a dialog requesting a password this probably means that the FTP server is overloaded by too many people trying to download at the same time. If this happens it is best to wait a while and then try again later. |
|
| Attention Mac OS 10.2 Users |
|
| If you have trouble downloading make sure your Firewall is turned off. It may interfere with downloading files. |
